Eidos Montreal announced today that Deus Ex: Human Revolution would be following in the footsteps of Mass Effect 3 and Batman: Arkham City by releasing an enhanced "Director's Cut" for the Wii U.

According to a Eurogamer interview, the port will be handled by Straight Right, the same developer that brought Mass Effect 3 to the Wii U. But this new version will have more than just tacked on GamePad controls. The change that's most likely to get Deus Ex fans excited is an overhauled boss battle system, designed to fix what was by far the biggest complaint about the 2011 original (though not everyone hated them).

Players will now be able to kill bosses without firing a single bullet, thanks to additional traps and devices hidden about the room, and new hacking and stealth-centric strategies for each battle. Other gameplay changes include a more generous energy recharge to allow for freer augmentation use and AI tweaks to reflect what was included in the Missing Link DLC.
