I am having a problem registering wii numbers?

Here is my problem, to start off my internet connection is great and i use the internet channel all the time and i message the one person i have on my adress book, but recently i added 2 new wii codes to my address book and their names are still gray and it says they need to register me, but they did register me, has anyone else had this problem. i have tested the connection and the settings are fine.
