Can someone help me with my Nintendo Wii problem?

Okay my Wii remote stopped working on my and the battery is completely fine, Now I can’t do anything on the Wii and I have this spare Remote and and I can’t sync it to the Wii. It just flashed blue for a few seconds then it stops. So please if you could tell me what I’m doing wrong.
