In the lull after E3 week, we cleared out some impressions of Xcom, Gears of War Judgment, and a bunch of games that use the Wii U's tablet GamePad in some interesting ways. We also heard why Crytek's CEO thinks his two-year-old CryEngine is easily the equal of Epic's much-hyped Unreal Engine 4, heard about a game of Civilization II that's been going on for a decade, and examined Rockstar's interesting idea to quarantine Max Payne 3 cheaters to play with each other.
