Gaming news is slowing down a touch as we get ready for Thanksgiving next week, the day where we host our families and see if Granny really will like our Kinects, Moves, and latest Wii games. This week we took a look at the issue of gaming as a business from the point of view of a successful indie developer, we explored the possibility of Diablo 3 on consoles, and reviewed Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.

Also: the 360 is the best-selling console in the US this year? Good news for Microsoft, bad news for Nintendo.

It's very possible there is a theme to this week's top stories, and I'm sure you'll be able to crack the code. Call of Duty: Black Ops is a huge release, and with Activision spending thousands of dollars per reviewer to help everyone feel warm about the game (despite the problems the PC version experienced at launch), there was plenty to write about.

We also reviewed the new Goldeneye title on the Wii, and took a look at a very impressive-seeming iPhone game. Come on in, and we promise to go easier on Call of Duty next week... if we can stop playing online.

This week we reviewed the Xbox 360 exclusive Alan Wake, which is a great game with some major problems. We also looked at the history of the PlayStation 3 and noticed that Sony has some trouble keeping its word. The Humble Bundle is a great way to give back to charity while playing some great games, and StarCraft 2 is given a specific release date.
